Endorsing the MBT Shoe

Endorsing the MBT Shoe .  I am NOT a paid consultant for this company or any other shoe company ,  Many patients will come to my practice that have pain and the solution to their problem is not a medicine not a custom molded orthotics but yes the shoe that one is wearing. I get asked all the time by my patients which shoe they should wear. The simple answer is there is no one shoe that is right for everyone. Every persons foot is different and responds differently to every shoe. My endorsement of the MBT shoe  is not a universal endorsement for all foot types but when used in the right person this shoe can change ones life.

I have had multiple patients that needed surgery due to arthritic big toe joints and ankle joints. However they were not able to have the surgeries for various reasons. I recommended the MBT shoes and they told me most of their pain resolved. Many of may patients have told me that when they wear the shoe their back pain goes away.

The key is to recognize what is happening to the foot of the specific patient. These patients usually suffer from arthritis of joints that require a lot of motion. Now the patient may have  limited motion as well as painful motion. Such as In the Big toe (Hallux Limitus) or ankle joint( ankle osteoarthritis). The shoe will effectively make up for the lost motion in those joints, through its rocker bottom technology. The rocking motion of the sole of the shoe will give the patient the extra motion needed for walking and gait. Instead of a flat shoe that stresses the affected arthritic joints.  This also works in patients that have painful flatfeet. The special sole will help  the foot propel during walking thus removing stresses on the joints of the foot that will usually become painful in a regular floppy shoe.
